Hosting accounts can be suspended due to late payment, malware, server abuse, or excessive resource usage. Your data remains intact during suspension.
A hosting account suspension means all services are temporarily halted. During suspension, your data, emails, and databases remain intact β the account is simply inaccessible until the issue is resolved.
Common Causes of Hosting Suspension
1. Late Payment
Failure to renew your hosting plan on time will result in a temporary suspension. Make the payment promptly to restore access to your website.
2. Malware or Viruses
Malware or viruses detected on your account can trigger a suspension. Contact our support team to help identify and remove the malicious files.
3. Server Abuse
Violating our acceptable use policy β such as sending spam, launching DDoS attacks, hacking, or hosting prohibited content β will result in suspension.
4. Excessive Resource Usage
An account that overloads the server and disrupts other users may be suspended. Solutions include:
- Optimizing your website's performance
- Enabling Cloudflare to reduce server load
- Upgrading to a higher hosting plan or migrating to a VPS
In most cases, we'll send an email notification when your hosting account is suspended.
